Valentyna Voitenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sports Medicine, participated in the Round Table for Clinical Training Coordinators of Higher Education Institutions, which took place on December 4\u20135, 2025, in Kyiv with the support of Momentum Wheels for Humanity within the framework of the international technical assistance project \u201cRehabilitation in Ukraine\u201d (Rehab4U).<\/p>

The event brought together physical therapists serving as clinical training coordinators from leading higher education institutions with the aim of strengthening their capacity to implement effective clinical education programs in physical therapy that meet professional standards and align with modern international approaches. These programs are designed for institutions that train physical therapist assistants and physical therapists.<\/p>

Over the two days, participants discussed issues related to ensuring compliance of educational programs with the specialty standard \u201cTherapy and Rehabilitation,\u201d shared university experiences in implementing clinical education, examined the role of the clinical component in shaping professional behavior, clinical reasoning, and independence of future specialists, and explored approaches to assessing clinical practice as well as criteria for measuring students\u2019 actual progress.<\/p>

Participation in the project represents an important step in strengthening the system of physical therapist education in Ukraine and is aimed at developing sustainable, integrated rehabilitation services through high-quality clinical education that meets the needs of both students and patients.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
